- Look for evidence of attempts to gain entry or vandalism and advise the authorities and the owner
- Look for visible water leaks, down pipes or blocked spouting from leaves
- Check all windows and doors are secure
- Check outside sheds/storage are secure
- Collect mail and forward if necessary
- Collect any debris, papers or circulars that may have blown onto the property
- Ensure outside furniture has not blown over
